Care and installation requirements depend on the material and intended surface. Follow the product description and the instructions supplied with the order.
Before application:
- Use a clean, dry, stable and fully cured surface.
- Follow the paint manufacturer’s curing time. Paint that feels dry may not be fully cured.
- Test a small, discreet area when surface compatibility is uncertain.
Installation and cleaning:
- Apply without stretching the material and smooth it gradually.
- Some products can be repositioned during installation. This does not mean they can be stored and reused later.
- Use a soft dry cloth, or a slightly damp cloth only when the product instructions allow it. Avoid abrasive tools and strong solvents.
Removal:
- Lift an edge and peel slowly at a low angle.
- Use moderate warmth only when the product instructions allow it.
- Stop if paint, wallpaper or the underlying finish begins to lift.
Residue-free or damage-free removal cannot be guaranteed for every material, paint system or surface condition.

Choose a finish for your foot traffic
Direct print, occasional foot traffic
Your design is printed directly onto material for floor graphics, without an additional laminate. Choose this option for areas where people step on the graphic only occasionally, such as a quiet display area or a lightly used promotional space.
Laminated print, frequent foot traffic
Your design is printed on floor material and covered with a floor laminate. This additional layer helps protect the printed surface from direct wear. Choose it for busy routes, frequently used queue areas and other places where people regularly walk over the decal.
Choose the finish according to how often the graphic will be walked on. A short event can still create frequent foot traffic.
One size means the longest side
Every size is shown in inches first, followed by centimeters in parentheses, for example 16 in (41 cm). This is the longest side of the complete finished design. The other side is scaled proportionally to your artwork.
A selected size does not mean the decal must be square. A wide logo stays wide, a tall design stays tall and a circle keeps its shape. If the design contains several elements, the selected size applies to the complete arranged design.
The inch measurement is the ordering size. Centimeter equivalents are rounded to the nearest whole centimeter for reference. There are 21 size options, from 8 in (20 cm) to 220 in (559 cm).
Large graphics may be supplied in aligned sections. We will agree the section layout before production.
How to order your custom floor graphics
- Select the longest side, finish and quantity.
- Complete checkout.
- Email your artwork to info@decords.com with your order number, selected size, preferred shape, floor surface and expected foot traffic.
- Include any instructions for the printed background and cut outline so the final design can be checked before production.
For logos and lettering, send the original PDF, SVG, AI or EPS file where available. For images, send a high resolution PNG or the largest original image. Tell us which parts of the background should be printed and which should be removed.
If you need help choosing a size, checking your file or ordering several different designs, contact us before ordering. Include the product link and a photo or description of the intended floor.
Check the floor before installation
The floor must be clean and dry before application. Surface texture, coatings, cleaning products and foot traffic affect adhesion and wear. Tell us about textured floors, carpet, outdoor use or regularly wet areas before ordering so the material can be checked for that setting.
Test compatibility on a small inconspicuous area first. Removal results depend on the floor material and its condition.
