Custom 3D Printing & Prototyping

(3 products)

Use this collection for made-to-order 3D printing, model development and project-specific production. Decords can print a supplied compatible model file or review a concept that first requires 3D design. Current service options cover general prototypes and models, personalized display figures and custom cosplay masks. Every project is reviewed before production because dimensions, geometry, wall thickness, assembly, colour and intended use affect feasibility and price.

Choose the appropriate service

  • Custom models and prototyping: suitable for supplied STL files, functional mock-ups, props, replacement forms, display models and early design prototypes.
  • Personalized figures: intended for made-to-order display figures created from an approved file or an agreed design brief.
  • Custom masks: intended for cosplay, theatre, photography and display concepts that require file review, sizing and fit information.

How a custom order works

  1. Choose the closest service and contact Decords before ordering.
  2. Send the available STL or compatible model file, reference images, sketches and required dimensions.
  3. Describe the intended use, preferred colour, quantity, deadline and any parts that must fit together.
  4. Decords reviews printability, orientation, supports, assembly, material use and production scope.
  5. Production begins only after the file, price and specification are approved.

Files, dimensions and tolerances

A visually complete model is not automatically ready for printing. Thin walls, open surfaces, unsupported details, intersecting geometry and insufficient clearances can require correction. State which dimensions are critical and provide the matching component when practical. 3D printed parts have manufacturing tolerances, so press fits, moving joints and assemblies should include suitable clearance and may require a test print.

Material, colour and finish

The current services use layer-by-layer PLA printing unless another specification is agreed in writing. Fine layer lines, support marks and small surface variations can be normal. Available solid colours depend on current filament stock. Multicolour work, splitting a large design into sections, assembly, sanding, painting and other finishing are quoted according to the individual project.

Describe the real operating conditions

Tell Decords whether the part will be exposed to heat, sunlight, moisture, repeated load, impact, chemicals or outdoor conditions. A decorative PLA print is not automatically suitable for food contact, medical use, electrical safety, structural loading or high-temperature environments. Functional applications must be reviewed against the actual requirements before production.
